I called out to Brooke quietly, “Come here,” but she gave me a look that suggested she wasn’t quite ready to end the photo shoot. So I gently pleaded with Brooke to get down from the tree right now. Although my comments were composed, I’m sure my look made the gravity of the situation clear.”

Luckily, this unanticipated snake that was photobombing the scene was not hostile; instead, its only goal appeared to be posing with the happy student.
