George W. Bush, the former president, recently made news when he struck out the ceremonial first pitch during the World Series opening. Jenna Bush Hager, his daughter, clarified the situation by stating that her father had undergone back surgery earlier in the year.

“It didn’t, it curved, and he recently had back surgery, so regrettably he probably injured himself,” she clarified.

“President Bush underwent back surgery, according to a spokesman, who said, “President Bush isn’t one to make excuses,
