When a preteen boy on the New York City train refused to give up two seats and had to be instructed by a stranger, he learnt an important lesson about etiquette. The youngster chose to stretch out and put his feet on the seat in front of him when he was leaning against his mother in November. Three people wanted to sit down, but the boy wouldn’t move.

Clearly fed up, one man took matters into his own hands and sat down right on the boy’s feet. A woman by the name of Isabel Kim took a flipbook of photos of the incident last October and posted them to Twitter.

In addition to being impolite, the boy’s actions were against subway protocol. Although there aren’t separate sections for seats on the subway, it’s commonly accepted that three people can fit on each bench. However, the conceited youngster was occupying two seats and appeared indifferent to his surroundings.

The child hurried to reposition his legs when the man sat down on his feet, but one of them still wound up beneath the man’s body. The youngster in the final photo is giving the man a shady look, obviously believing that he was correct and that the father was wrong to sit on him.

Additionally, Isabel posted a video of the subsequent events, which shows the boy’s mother yelling at him. She appears to be blaming Joe, the boy, for making her miss her stop rather than his impolite actions, though.

With more than 136,000 likes on the post, the man has earned praise from hundreds of people. One user tweeted, “He has 0 s***s left to give, and he is my blood brother,” while another remarked, “Not all heroes wear capes.” Another said, “The best way to teach subway etiquette is to use force and nonverbal cues.” One more person stated, “The subway is the great equalizer,”

In conclusion, it is evident from this experience that some children may not acquire excellent manners from their parents and may have to learn them from strangers. Despite not wearing a cape, the man who sat on the boy’s feet was viewed as a hero by many subway patrons who were fed up with the entitled boy’s actions.
