A dog’s haircut may really make a big difference, especially for stray or neglected pets whose fur is matted and knotted and causes them a lot of suffering.

A stray dog recently attracted notice because she had so much fur that she looked like a wig. Thankfully, a rescue group stepped in and gave her a transformative makeover, turning her life around.

After being adopted by the rescue group, Pear was given committed support by a group of volunteers who started a special grooming session to remove all filth from her fur.

“In an interview with Newsweek, the rescue’s founder, Rochelle Steffen, revealed, “We bathed her, shaved her, and cleaned her up to get rid of any dirt and fleas.” “After that, we put her in one of our rooms, and she fell asleep right away.”

Pear was so calm and patient during the entire process. “She was very sweet and stayed motionless while we worked to remove the thick mats from her fur, which took a long time.”

Steffen also mentioned Pear’s lucky escape from being hit by a car and a maggot infestation. Pear, however, has lost one of her eyes as a result of an earlier injury.
