In a well-known television series, he was a real heartthrob. At just 68 years old, David doesn’t look like himself now.

Born in Queens, New York, on January 7, 1956, David Caruso discovered his passion for acting in spite of coming from a difficult single-parent home. His breakthrough was made possible by his early performances in *First Blood* and *Hill Street Blues*, which demonstrated his ferocity.

Caruso’s breakthrough role was as Detective John Kelly on *NYPD Blue* in 1993. He won a Golden Globe and received considerable praise for the role. However, his career took a turn for the worst when he left after just one season, citing “disputes over his salary and creative control.”

Caruso made a spectacular return in 2002 as Horatio Caine in *CSI: Miami*, after struggling in movies like *Jade* and *Kiss of Death*. Caruso’s character became famous for his “signature one-liners and cool demeanor,” and the show was a huge success.

Fans have observed that Caruso “looks different” in recent years as a result of aging naturally and leading a more subdued lifestyle since leaving performing. His tale serves as a reminder of the “highs and lows” of Hollywood and that, with skill and willpower, comebacks are achievable.
