Recognize what you’re purchasing.
This image features farm meat on the left and store beef on the right. Although the two are clearly different from one another, the differences don’t end there!
1. The picture’s color difference may be apparent to you. Propyl gallate is one of the several chemicals and preservatives that the business purchased to guard against spoiling from prolonged air exposure.
2. Neither the source nor the number of cows in that beef are guaranteed. Yes, it might bear the USDA label, but it can still be referred to as a US product as long as the animal was packaged in the US.
Indeed, the meat in the correct package is remnants from several cows rather than from a single cow. It might have originated in Brazil, Canada, or Argentina.
3. The beef on the left is farm-raised, darker, and fresher. It has a lot more flavor and nutrition. Additionally, the ground comes from a single cow rather than being low-quality leftovers from several cows. Purchase from a nearby farm.
