Zeke Best, a 10-month-old Idaho baby, was tragically found dead by law police over the weekend, only one day after the youngster was placed under an Amber Alert. The terrifying event started when the baby’s father, Jeremy Albert Best, was arrested by the authorities on an arrest warrant related to his wife’s death.

The tragic discovery was made by authorities about 24 miles east of Idaho Falls, sparked by a call from a diligent hunter who reported a weird situation – a man, subsequently identified as Jeremy Albert Best, wrapped in a sleeping bag by the roadway, stark nude and spouting bizarre statements.

According to a statement from police, “The caller stated the man was naked and making odd statements.”

The Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office released information on Friday that suggested Best may have been involved in the kidnapping of his own child in Teton County, leading to the issuance of an arrest warrant for him. A subsequent search brought officers locate Best’s vehicle, wedged in an embankment off the road. Sadly, when baby Zeke’s lifeless body was discovered at the location, the FBI, Idaho State Police, and other agencies launched a thorough investigation.

The gravity of the situation was further heightened as authorities disclosed that Jeremy Albert Best was also sought in connection with an ongoing investigation into the death of his wife, Kali Jean Randall. The grim discovery of Randall’s lifeless body occurred in her Victor residence just a day prior, with the Teton County Sheriff’s Office categorizing the incident as a homicide.
