Two little boys, Julian Keiser, 4, and Jamison Keiser, 6, were sadly killed when the house in Defiance, Missouri, burst on Friday morning. Their school had postponed lessons due to extreme weather, leaving kids at home when the explosion occurred. Their mother, Evelyn Turpiano, and grandparents, Jennifer and Vern Ham, managed to escape safely.
Firefighters came, but the powerful flames prevented them from getting to the lads in time. “The fire prevented them from being found right away,” claimed Chief Dan Casey of
the New Melle Fire Protection District. The boys were said to as “the nicest little boys” by their neighbor Sharon Oberlag, who heard the explosion and added, “They thought school was the coolest thing ever.”
“Our hearts are with the member of our team and their family who lost their children and grandchildren,” said the building’s owners, the Hoffmann Family of Companies.
